Crow Point

Nr Braunton
Where the Taw and Torridge rivers meet. This walk can only be done on a receding tide but it is still advised then to keep away from the edge of the water. This walk offers views of the sea, small villages in the distance such as Instow and Appledore. To your left the dramatic back drop of Baggy point and Saunton sands beach reveal North Devon's vast array of Coast and Countryside.

Exmoor National Park

In an area of 250 square miles Exmoor combines stunning wild moorland with dramatic coastlines and quaint villages. Red deer, wild ponies, birds of prey and many other species of wildlife populate Exmoor. There are over 700 miles of footpaths to offer an endless range of possibilities for walkers.

Hartland Point

A cliff side walk along the North Devon coast. With fantastic coastal views, waterfalls and an old mill there is lots to see on this walk.

Kipling Tours

To experience fabulous views of Bideford Bay walk the paths of Kipling tours. Some of the paths are steep and stony but are worth the challenge for the views. With a variety of different terrain, wonder the woodland path or the top path and visit the "Old War Lookout". This was used in the Second World War for watching out for enemies entering the Bay by boat. You can again access to the cliffs from Kipling tours and continue your journey along the Coastal Path. Access can be gained from Fosketh Hill, Westward Ho! Merley Road or Cornborough Road at the top of Westward Ho!

Lynton & Lynmouth

These twin towns are spectacularly positioned in an area known as 'Little Switzerland of England'. Walk from the harbour up river to the valley of the rocks. The walk offers woodland scenery combined with a seaside feel. The river has many small waterfalls and pools where small fish can be spotted.

Tamar Lakes

This offers a variety of different walks near the Tamar Lakes providing from the gentler walk to a challenging stroll. Enjoy spectacular views of the countryside as you follow one of the many routes on offer.

Tarka Trail

Cycle from Barnstaple along the shores of the estuary of the Rivers Taw and Torridge for spectacular views to Bideford or cycle the other direction 6.5 miles to Braunton. There are a variety of stopping points to take in the glorious North Devon scenery or for refreshments. The Tarka trail runs all the way from Braunton through to Meeth. Over 21 miles of level traffic free Tarka to explore. A popular route is also Bideford to Torrington where you cycle over the 14th Centuary bridge built by the Grenville family.

Torrs Walk

Ilfracombe
The walk begins behind Torrs Park a national trust area. The winding path along to Lee Bay has great views over the Bristol Channel. The walk back can be the same routing or through Fuchsia Valley into Ilfracombe town but this is the longer walk.
